Paleochora, or
Paliochora, is a seaside town with a population of 2,500 inhabitants situated on the southwest coast of Crete, 75 km from Chania. Poised on a tiny peninsula between two picturesque bays, it is an
ideal destination for your summer holidays.
In the west bay you will find the harbour, from where stretches the
famous Pacheia Ammos [Thick Sand] Beach. Not surprisingly, the beach has been earning a blue flag for years and welcoms thousands of visitors during the summer months.
In the east bay the landscape is totally different, with pebbles and rocks prevailing. Opposite the sea loom the White Mountains [Lefka Oroi] and the famous land of
Sfakia. The quay serves boat connections to Sougia, Agia Roumeli, Loutro, Chora Sfakion, Gavdos and Elafonissi.

south of the city of Chania.
